Streetscape Still Looks Amazing!

NSW LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Craig Hunter, recently re-visited the Gundagai Streetscape project in NSW, which was completed more than a year ago, and it still looks fantastic! 

The project on Sheridan Street consisted of 3500m2 paved with granite which was installed with 211 Crete Filler Powder and 4237 Latex Additive. The paving was grouted with 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed. The team from ArcScape Landscape Services worked in conjunction with Gundagai Council for the installation, and CE Industries supplied materials. 

4237 Latex Additive - a specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Crete Filler to make a high strength latex thin and medium bed adhesive up to 15 mm, for installing all types of tile, stone and agglomerates.

3701 Fortified Mortar Bed is a polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed does not require the use of latex admix, you only need to add water to produce thick bed mortar with exceptional strength.

Josh and the team are laying white Carrara marble and green marble throughout all the bathrooms in a new house located in Bronte, NSW. This job has LATICRETE Productivity stamped all over it.

Most of the units and their extensive stone and tile work were done with LATICRETE materials. These include HydroBan, Gold, 4237/211, PermaColor and 3701.The above photographs show the stair lobby wall which starts in the basement and extends upwards to a long narrow skylight along the width at the top. The wall is only interrupted by the canter-levered stair case which is cast showing the profile of the tread and riser only.

The large format limestone panels (600 x 1200 & 300 x 1200) on this wall were fixed to the concrete wall with LATAPOXY 310 by the "Spot Bond Method" which eliminated slow, labour intensive mechanical fixing of the stone. The Pietra Grey Marble installed on the stairs and landings were bonded with LATICRETE 4237/211W.
