Constitution Place Update

Last year we shared progress pictures of this beautiful streetscape at Constitution Place, Canberra. We're happy to now share what the completed project looks like! LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep Craig Hunter was originally onsite with the building teams from CE Construction Solutions and Construction Control, and returned to explore the completed 5000m² streetscape of public spaces, driveways, and food precinct.

Constitution Place Canberra

 

Craig Hunter, LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, was on the project site with the team from CE Construction Solutions and the builder Construction Control at Constitution Place in Canberra, ACT. This landmark project is very close to completion, where approximately 5000m2 granite stones of various sizes have already been laid. Once completed, the project will include public spaces, driveways, and a food precinct. 

LATICRETE installation materials used:

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar is a factory-prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement, and graded aggregates. 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength. 
• 3701 Mortar Admix is used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides an economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble
• 211 Crete Filler Powder is a factory-prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement, and graded aggregates.
• 4237 Latex Additive is specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Powder to make high strength latex thin-set bed up to 13 mm and medium bed up to 15 mm mortars.
• 3701 Mortar Admix is used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides an economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble

Completed Streetscape at Brougham Lane

In July we shared the beginning of this streetscape project at Brougham Lane in Potts Point. The team from Sydney Brick Paving has now completed the project using materials from the LATICRETE "Extra Heavy Duty" Streetscape Installations brochure. LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep, Glen Mannix, recently revisited the site and the result looks great! 

LATICRETE products in the "Extra Heavy Duty" Streetscape Installations brochure are recommended for the installation of ceramic tile, concrete paver and natural stone where an “Extra Heavy Duty” installation that is required normally associated with transit ways, roads, footpaths, and streetscapes.

These systems are particularly suited to roads and areas required to handle heavy vehicular traffic. Provided that tile or stone are installed in accordance with applicable industry standards and written LATICRETE installation instructions, projects utilising LATICRETE products can qualify for a comprehensive LATICRETE System Warranty.

Bricks and Paving

Glenn Mannix, LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep was on-site with the team from Sydney Brick Paving. The team is installing approximately 200m2 of Adbri concrete pavers using materials from the LATICRETE "Extra Heavy Duty" Streetscape Installations brochure. 

LATICRETE products in the "Extra Heavy Duty" Streetscape Installations brochure are recommended for the installation of ceramic tile, concrete paver and natural stone where an “Extra Heavy Duty” installation that is required normally associated with transit ways, roads, footpaths, and streetscapes.

These systems are particularly suited to roads and areas required to handle heavy vehicular traffic. Provided that tile or stone are installed in accordance with applicable industry standards and written LATICRETE installation instructions, projects utilising LATICRETE products can qualify for a comprehensive LATICRETE System Warranty.

Streetscape Still Looks Amazing!

NSW LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Craig Hunter, recently re-visited the Gundagai Streetscape project in NSW, which was completed more than a year ago, and it still looks fantastic! 

The project on Sheridan Street consisted of 3500m2 paved with granite which was installed with 211 Crete Filler Powder and 4237 Latex Additive. The paving was grouted with 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed. The team from ArcScape Landscape Services worked in conjunction with Gundagai Council for the installation, and CE Industries supplied materials. 

4237 Latex Additive - a specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Crete Filler to make a high strength latex thin and medium bed adhesive up to 15 mm, for installing all types of tile, stone and agglomerates.

3701 Fortified Mortar Bed is a polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed does not require the use of latex admix, you only need to add water to produce thick bed mortar with exceptional strength.
