QLD Residential Pool Complete

We are excited to share this QLD residential pool project we have been blogging on is now complete and looks amazing! This beautiful Bisazza glass mosaic pool, installed by Sam Gardener Tiling for Jack Boyd Pools, is all filled up and ready to be enjoyed it's owners. A wide range of LATICRETE materials were used to qualify for a 15 Year LATICRETE Warranty. 

LATICRETE products used:

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar - Designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength. 
• 3701 Mortar Admix - Used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix.
• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield - 2 component, roller applied, epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.
• HYDRO BAN® - Single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane. 
• HYDRO BAN® Adhesive & Sealant - One component, fast curing, hybrid elastomeric adhesive and sealant. 
• 254 Platinum - The ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive for interior and exterior installations.
• SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* - High performance epoxy grout that offers colour uniformity, durability and stain resistance with extraordinary ease of use.
• LATASIL™ - A high performance, one component, neutral cure, 100% silicone sealant designed for ceramic tile and stone applications.

Previously we shared in the progress of this great looking Residential Pool in Sunshine Beach, QLD, by Sam Gardener Tiling for Jack Boyd Pools. The project has started to come together and is looking fantastic! The 70m2 pool will feature 21.57x21.57mm Bisazza glass tiles. This fully tiled pool in Sunshine Beach, QLD has been under construction by Jack Boyd Pools and Calty Construction. The 80m2 pool features 20x20 Bizazza glass mosaic tiles and has been installed using a range of LATICRETE materials to qualify for a 15 year system warranty!

A residential home in Castaways Beach, QLD recently had an incredible new pool installed by Jack Boyd Pools. The curved fully tiled pool, featuring black Bisazza mosaic tiles, was installed using a range of LATICRETE materials: 

• 3701 Mortar Admix is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes.
• 211 Crete Filler Powder is a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates.
• HYDRO BAN is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners.
• 345 Platinum is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick. 
• LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive is a chemical resistant, epoxy adhesive that will bond to most sound, clean surfaces. The adhesive spreads easily and cleans with water while fresh. 
• SPECTRALOCK PRO Grout is a patented, high performance epoxy grout that offers colour uniformity, durability and stain resistance with extraordinary ease of use.

Noosaville Pool Project

Jack Boyd Pools used LATICRETE pool installation systems to create this impressive pool located in Noosaville, Qld. Mitchell Haw, LATICRETE QLD Technical Sales Rep, was on the job site and captured some pics of the amazing work at hand!

The pool was tiled using Trend Mosaic tiles, 8x4 custom green blend, and a range of LATICRETE products:

3701 Fortified Mortar Bed - A polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates that does not require the use of latex admix, you only need to add water.
HYDRO BAN^® - A thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners.
4237 Rapid Latex Additive (with 211 Crete Filler Powder) - A specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Crete Filler Powder to make high strength latex thin bed and medium bed adhesive up to 15 mm.
SPECTRALOCK^® PRO Grout - Designed for use on ceramic tile, glass tile and stone applications, both residential and commercial. It can be used both interior and exterior on floors and walls. Ideal for re-grouting applications, SPECTRALOCK PRO Grout is perfect for swimming pools, fountains and other wet area applications.
LATASIL™ - A high performance, one component, neutral cure, 100% silicone sealant designed for ceramic tile & stone applications.
