Wollongong Residence

 

Look at that beautifully shining tiled floor! This indoor area is looking better than ever after a gorgeous renovation by DCC Tiling. LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Representative Glenn Mannix submitted the project details for this Wollongong residence.

Approximately 50m² floor space required reduced sound transmission, and the tiler Dario knew that LATICRETE GenieMat® RST was the preferred choice to meet the strata requirements for sound attenuation.

Products used: 

• GenieMat® RST reduced sound transmission mat is a high performance acoustical underlayment that is engineered to reduce impact noise through ceramic tiles, stone and other hard surface materials.
• 335 Adhesive is a premium, flexible, high performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation.

NSW Hotel Renovation

 

This NSW hotel is undergoing a beautiful renovation, and tiler Mitch Morgan of MM Tiling has been hard at work on this gorgeous stone facade. Mitch is installing 120m² of Eco Outdoor random cladding to cover most of the exterior walls, giving the hotel such a beautiful, bright look!

For this impressive stone facade MVIS™ Veneer Mortar was Mitch's preferred choice. MVIS Veneer Mortar is a patented, versatile polymer fortified mortar designed specifically for the installation of adhered masonry veneer, stone and thin brick. A high performance mix provides maximum non-sag performance for vertical installations and also obtains maximum bond strength to the substrate and selected veneers. Masonry Veneer Mortar offers exceptional workability. Meets and exceeds the requirements of AS ISO13007.1&2 as a C2TS1.

LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Glenn Mannix, caught Gee from Mix Mud Rendering just before getting ready to use 3701 Mortar Admix to render an upcoming pool!

3701 Mortar Admix is designed for use with 226 Thick Bed Mortar or Portland cement and sand mixes. 3701 Mortar Admix is a multiuse latex that will fortify any cement based adhesive or cement based tile grout. 

3701 Mortar Admix can be mixed with 211 Powder or neat cement for use as a slurry bond coat. Use 3701 Mortar Admix in place of water for screeds and renders. 3701 Mortar Admix increases the physical performance of Portland cement adhesives. SUPERCAP® Project – One Sydney Harbour Building

A project which AllPrep Flooring Specialists Pty Ltd brought the ultimate LATICRETE® SUPERCAP® Pump Truck system to Australia for, is finally underway on the One Sydney Harbour Building project for Lendlease.

The initial pour involved pumping from the ground floor to Level 3 and it took all but 12 minutes to complete the unit.

The audience viewed most facets of the operation of the LATICRETE® SUPERCAP® AllPrep Pump Truck system from set up to clean up with a keen eye to gauge its safe operation but were probably more taken with its sheer performance and positive impacts on their project.

Palm Beach Pool

 

Palm Beach, Waterfront Pool Project

Picture this - a high-end home that overlooks the waterfront, with a spectacular infinity edge pool with spa, a feature wall with scupper water features, in-floor cleaning and fiber optic strip lighting. Now that you've got an idea of what it could be,  this is what The Construction Connection (TCC), which manages and builds award winning, high quality, architecturally designed residential homes has awarded to Shore Pools to build.

Darren Paton from Shore Pools says "the pool will be 11m x 5.5m, suspended above ground. The concrete shell weighing 165 tonnes, and once filled will weigh approximately 280 tonnes, while supported on block walls and concrete columns."

LATICRETE installation systems from the Pool, Spa and Fountain Tiling installation system brochure are the preferred materials for this pool, and qualifies for a 15 year system warranty as confirmed by LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep, Joe Tabone.

Pool Project in Westmead

 

A beautiful Ezarri mosaic pool is currently underway in Westmead, NSW. LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Joe Tabone, was onsite while the teams from DEICORP, Wright Pools and CIS were working on this 130m2 residential pool. LATICRETE materials are being used throughout this installation.

LATICRETE products used:

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar - a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength.

Completed Streetscape at Loftus Lane

At the end of last year we shared the beginning of this streetscape project at Loftus Lane in Sydney. Involved in this 800m2 streetscape project for the Sydney City Council are:

Recently LATICRETE attended a trade night at Amber Tiles in Chatswood, NSW. It was a great event and almost 30 tradies came through. NSW Pool Systems PTK

Earlier this month, LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Reps, Craig Hunter and Glenn Mannix, held a free Pool Tiling Installation Systems, Profit Through Knowledge (PTK) Seminar at the LATICRETE Training Centre in NSW. 

Attendees consisted of specifiers, designers, tilers and pool builders were actively involved in discussions, classroom learning, and hands-on demonstrations using LATICRETE:  Mortars/Renders (3701/226 and 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed); adhesive (254 with PERMACOLOR® Select Color Kits) and grouts (SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium with DAZZLE™) as they went through the LATICRETE system warranty materials.
