Pool Project in Westmead

 

A beautiful Ezarri mosaic pool is currently underway in Westmead, NSW. LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Joe Tabone, was onsite while the teams from DEICORP, Wright Pools and CIS were working on this 130m2 residential pool. LATICRETE materials are being used throughout this installation.

LATICRETE products used:

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar - a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength. 
• 3701 Mortar Admix - used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides an economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble-free installations of ceramic tile, brick, and natural stone.
• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield - a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.
• HYDRO BAN® - a thin, load-bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component, self-curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane.

NSW Pool Systems PTK

Earlier this month, LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Reps, Craig Hunter and Glenn Mannix, held a free Pool Tiling Installation Systems, Profit Through Knowledge (PTK) Seminar at the LATICRETE Training Centre in NSW. 

Attendees consisted of specifiers, designers, tilers and pool builders were actively involved in discussions, classroom learning, and hands-on demonstrations using LATICRETE:  Mortars/Renders (3701/226 and 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed); adhesive (254 with PERMACOLOR® Select Color Kits) and grouts (SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium with DAZZLE™) as they went through the LATICRETE system warranty materials.

Upper Kedron Residential Pool

 

Maximum Tiling recently completed this residential project in Upper Kedron, QLD. The project consisted of glass mosaics for the waterline and 600x600x25mm porcelain coping, installed using LATICRETE materials, supplied by The Pool Tile Company. 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive was used for the mosaics and coping, as well as bonding the bedding and the render to the shell. 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed was also used for this project. 

• 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive is a high performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation. Exceeds the requirements of AS ISO13007.1&2 classification C2TES1. Excellent for exterior and underwater applications, superior bond to masonry.  
• 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed is a polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed does not require the use of latex admix, you only need to add water to produce thick bed mortar with exceptional strength.

Vaucluse Pool Project

This 250m2 pool project in Vaucluse, NSW, is currently underway and is using a range of LATICRETE installation materials to qualify for a 25 Year Pool System Warranty. Rendering was completed by the team at JM Rendering, and membrane installation was carried out by Elio Barla.

Another Great Project from Wright Pools!

Wright Pools in NSW have been busy with this pool refurb in Manly, which consisted of 50m2 of pool surrounds and 12m2 of pool waterline. Wright Pools tiled and grouted using a wide range of LATICRETE materials.

Recently this residential backyard received a new pool to create a luxury outdoor space! Adept Pools in NSW carried out the pool project using a range of LATICRETE installation materials. The LATICRETE products used included:

Commercial Pool Refurbishment

Check out this 300m2 commercial pool project underway in Barcaldine, QLD. The project will see the refurbishment of an existing 25m concrete pool shell being tiled with ceramic gloss tiles. 

The following LATICRETE products are being used for the installation:

• 315 Super Floor & Wall Adhesive - A high performance thin-set adhesive to install tile and stone using the thin-bed method of installation. Mix with water or fortify with LATICRETE latex admixture.
• 4237 Latex Additive - A specially designed latex additive for use with Portland cement to make slurry bond coats for mortar beds and with thin set adhesives to give improved performance and longer open time.
