Completed Outdoor Terrace

Jealous much? We are! Don MacDonald and his team from The Orchid Group recently completed this outdoor area of this beautiful home on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. The project features a filled and honed Travertine deck and stairs, along with Granite ground, and honed in-situ, all installed using a range of LATICRETE materials. Well done!

Mooloolaba Penthouse Renovation Completed

Residential Project in Red Hill Completed

At the end of last year, we shared an ongoing residential bathroom project in Red Hill, QLD. Murray Heazlewood and his team from SEQ Tiling and Cladding have worked hard to install these large-format thin porcelain tiles in this bathroom and we are happy to finally see and share the completed project! 

The wall features large-format thin porcelain tiles which are 2600x1200x6mm and the floor  features 1200x600x10mm, all installed using the below LATICRETE installation materials:

Putting HYDRO BAN® SLURRY to the Test

 

It was a busy week for the team from Crafted Living Landscapes, when Glenn Mannix LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, called in on the job site to see Jake, Joel, Luke and Jono. Together they put HYDRO BAN® SLURRY to the test by applying it to this block construction wall to stop leaching and efflorescence. Well done!

HYDRO BAN® SLURRY is a cement-based one component, polymer fortified, waterproofing material that mixes with water and easily apples with brush, roller, or trowel. This product can be used on retaining walls, water features, slabs on ground, and immersed installations. HYDRO BAN SLURRY is suitable for areas requiring negative hydrostatic pressure resistance up to 2.5 BARS and positive hydrostatic pressure up to 5 BARS.

Update on the Matthew Flinders Anglican College Project

In July last year, we shared the first update on the Matthew Flinders Anglican College Project on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. The team from Skorpil Tiling worked hard to complete this project alongside Integral Construction, and now we are happy to share the latest stage of the project, which features 400m2 of granite installed with a range of LATICRETE materials.

Masonry Veneer Installation System

Up to now, the installation of manufactured stone masonry veneer has often depended on the use of site-mixed unfortified masonry mortars that are subject to large variations in consistency, quality and performance and which also limit the installation technique to that of traditional masonry. This traditional method is not engineered as part of a complete wall system and therefore does not offer warranties from a reliable source willing to stand behind the installation.

The Masonry Veneer Installation System brochure provides information on LATICRETE installation systems that provide permanent, high strength installations that are freeze/thaw stable and protected from water intrusion. Fixing Project that Takes You to the Clouds!

 

This fixing project will take you to the clouds! Don Macdonald and his team from The Orchid Group recently fixed and grouted this custom made cloud image featuring 10x10mm glass mosaic tiles from Trend, using LATAPOXY® SP-100. 

LATAPOXY® SP-100 is a stainless, pigment free, colourfast epoxy grout for grouting floor installations of ceramic tile, brick, and stone.
