Great Results for Cafeteria Renovation!

We recently blogged about a project by AJ Bristow at the MLC Private School in Burwood NSW. We excited to share photos of the completed project. The new cafeteria looks amazing! 380m2 of the project was tiled using penny round, un-glazed mosaics.

LATICRETE materials used for the installation were:

• HYDRO BAN® - a single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane.
• 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive - a high performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation.
• 345 Platinum is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick. 345 Platinum provides long open time with unsurpassed adhesion and workability.
• PERMACOLOR® Grout - offers the maximum performance available in a cement-based grout, providing consistent colour and antimicrobial protection to resist stain-causing mould and mildew.
• SPECTRALOCK® PRO Grout - a patented, high performance epoxy grout that offers colour uniformity, durability and stain resistance with extraordinary ease of use.

Peter from AJ Bristow Building was appreciative when Craig Hunter,  from LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep, was on the  job site at MLC Private School, Burwood NSW  training the team on how to use PERMACOLOR® and SPECTRALOCK® PRO Grout. The project was the cafeteria which consisted of 380m2, using penny round mosaics and the following LATICRETE products:

Proud parents within the LatiFamily have celebrated in the graduation of their children's schooling.

Just some of them are NSW Warehouse Manager, Wally Van Gool, who celebrated in his daughters graduation from Primary school, while Joe Tabone, NSW Technical Sales Rep, saw his gorgeous daughter Kayla, all grown up and graduating from High school.

Mosaic School Project

Mosaic Mural at St. Bernards Primary

Nick Collett, QLD LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep was contacted by Maria Barry, a former student of Sandy Robertson from OzMosaic. As it turns out, Maria is the Arts teacher at St. Bernards Primary, the school where Nick's children go. 

Maria was enquiring about LATICRETE products for a mosaic piece the kids were working on. Nick provided all the tenchnical assistance required for the artwork.

LATICRETE gladly donated the adhesive and grout to help support the school. Various children handmade the tiles and painted original designs to this lovely piece of artwork. 

LATICRETE products used on this lovely project were: HYDRO BAN® waterproofing membrane, Glass Tile Adhesive and  PERMACOLOR® Grout.

South Australia Swim School Project

This 70,000 litre swim school swimming pool was tiled by Chris Durdin in South Australia. Chris set about resourcing and researching the necessary products to create the Blackwood Swim School at Daw Park, SA which Chris' daughter owns.

"As a first time user of your products I could not believe how easy they were to use. I had never laid tiles in my life. I found it was all a matter of timing with the adhesive and grout" said Chris.

Chris used the following products; LATICRETE SpectraLOCK PRO Grout in Bright White, LATICRETE 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive and LATICRETE Hydro Ban.

The Swim School has been open for 3 weeks and has a client base of 200! Well done to all involved!
