LATICRETE Australia Appoints New Technical Sales Representative

LATICRETE Australia is excited to announce Daniel Minos has taken up the position as Technical Sales Representative in Victoria, alongside Chris Stenhouse.

From an early age Daniel enjoyed the concept of building things and sharing knowledge. Starting in sales in retail, Daniel then went on to study and was awarded the 2010 Apprentice of the year in Floor and Wall Tiling. Once qualified, Daniel was self-employed as a tiler and took on the challenge of teaching at TAFE as he enjoys teaching a skill or sharing knowledge. Most recently Daniel worked in Japan at an IB School,  and had the opportunity to teach building and construction skills.

In Daniels spare time he enjoys music as can be reflected in his record collection, he enjoys bushcrafts, learning and practicing some of the “lost arts” trades such as woodcarving, leatherworking, blacksmithing and using/repair vintage tools to build things by hand.

“I am extremely fortunate to have had these experiences in life that has given me a global perspective, trade skills, knowledge and teaching that I look forward to bringing with me in my work at LATICRETE. It’s a nice feeling to be able to support the company that supported me in my early years as a tiler. (2010 Apprentice of The Year… I still have the trailer thank you guys!!). It’s a small world after all.”

New Look for 4237 Latex Additive

 

As we continue to build the LATICRETE brand, we are excited to announce we have updated our 4237 Latex Additive packaging and upgraded it from 19L to 20L. This has been rolled out to the market - so keep your eyes peeled! 

4237 Latex Additive is the original latex additive for tile and stone adhesives. 4237 Latex Additive will mix with 211 to make a high strength, chemical, shock and vibration resistant adhesive. Suitable for swimming pools, facades, commercial and industrial tile and stone installations. Mix 4237 Latex Additive with PERMACOLOR^® Grout to make a coloured adhesive for installing glass mosaics.

Floor Preparation Works on One Sydney Harbour Project

AllPrep Flooring Specialists Pty Ltd Seals the Deal!

It is an honour to announce AllPrep Flooring Specialists Pty Ltd have been awarded the major contract for the installation of Floor Preparation Works on the One Sydney Harbour project managed by top tier one construction company Lendlease. 

The One Sydney Harbour Project in Barangaroo will represent a new world-class residential precinct in the South of Barangaroo, with an overriding vision to deliver a landmark residential precinct for Sydney that will set the benchmark for Australian apartment living. 

The R1 Tower will be the tallest residential building in Sydney, finishing at a final height of 247m. The R1 Tower is currently at Level 20. The structure works are progressing well and heading towards the sky.

The “Pump Truck” is a computer-controlled, mobile blending unit (MBU) that ensures perfect concrete mixing every time. Once mixed, formulas are pumped directly onto prepared sub-floors through a controlled high-rate piping and hose system. Blending is done on-site at street level. Ross McNeil, LATICRETE Australia National Sales Manager, has announced the appointment of Corey Downes to the position, Technical Sales Representative for LATICRETE Australia, managing the Victorian and Tasmanian markets.

Corey comes to us from Victoria with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and is also a qualified Tiler and Waterproofer. Corey excelled while completing his tiling and waterproofing qualifications and was awarded “3rd Year Floor and Wall Tile Apprentice of the Year” by Master Builders Association of Australia. 

Corey’s career in the construction market started with working for the family tiling business before working in commercial tile sales, and progressing to operating his own tiling business. Corey has an in-depth of knowledge of the tiling industry which makes him a great fit for LATICRETE Australia. 

A lifelong supporter of the Melbourne Demons, Corey is an avid fan of the AFL. He enjoys golf, cricket, spending time with his family & friends, and travelling.
