Product Feature: HYDRO BAN®

HYDRO BAN® is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component, self-curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane that bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates. HYDRO BAN is a certified low VOC emitting product. HYDRO BAN is extensible Class 3 membrane suitable for immersed installations, internal wet areas and external above ground use.

HYDRO BAN features rapid drying time for a faster time to tile, and changes colour from a light sage to an olive green when cured.

• Meets and exceeds the requirements of AS4858 and AS4654.1 for a Class 3 Membrane
• Thin; only 0.5 mm - 0.8 mm thick when cured
• Anti-fracture protection of up to 3 mm over shrinkage and other non-structural cracks

Port Macquarie Retirement Pool Project

Check out this new pool project at Port Macquarie Retirement Village in NSW! LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Craig Hunter, met up with the team from Wright Pools and Woollam Constructions on the jobsite, as they have begun to render this 200m2 pool.

Product to be used:

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar is a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength.
• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield is a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.
• HYDRO BAN®  is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane. HYDRO BAN bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates.

• 254 Platinum is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick.

Bathroom Renovation

LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, George Andriotis, recently visited this residential bathroom renovation in Brunswick, VIC. The project features Hexagon tiles and vertical stack bond 100x300 handmade subway tiles supplied by De Fazio Tiles and is carried out by Daniel from PA1 Tiling, who is a loyal LATICRETE customer and addicted to our products.

VIC Pool Project Underway

Last week LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, George Andriotis, attended the Holmesglen Awards Festival evening hosted by Holmesglen TAFE to celebrate excellence in education and training among students, staff and industry partners. 

LATICRETE was proud to co-sponsor the Holmesglen trailer award once again to the "Best 3rd Year and Best Overall Apprentice" which was awarded to Casey Shannon. A big congratulations to Casey!
