Another Pool Project

 

The team from Josh Quiroga Tiling recently commenced tiling this 160m2 outdoor area, which includes the patio and around the pool, using 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive and PERMACOLOR® Grout, in Bellmere, QLD.

• 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive is a high performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation.
• PERMACOLOR® Grout offers the maximum performance available in a cement-based grout, providing consistent colour and antimicrobial protection to resist stain-causing mould and mildew. PERMACOLOR Grout is ideal for floors and walls in both interior and exterior installations.

LATAPOXY® 300 Adhesive

Strength and Performance Like No Other!

Problematic tile or substrate? No problem for us - LATAPOXY® 300 Adhesive will bond mostly anything to almost anything. Really! If you need to bond metal tiles, reactive tiles, dimensionally unstable tiles, moisture staining tiles, wooden tiles, tiles with backings to steel, glass, polyester, epoxy and most plastics then LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive will do it, with strength and performance like no other.

LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive is also ideal for tile installations that require chemical resistance that other types of adhesives can’t deliver, such as industrial environments, commercial kitchens or immersed installations and those alike.

LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive is a chemical resistant, epoxy adhesive that will bond to most sound, clean surfaces. The adhesive spreads easily and cleans with water while fresh. LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive is a factory-proportioned kit consisting of epoxy resin, hardener and chemical resistant silica filler. LATAPOXY 300 Adhesive can be used in interior and exterior (see limitations) walls and floors, wet and dry areas.

Trade Afternoon at Reece Irrigation & Pools Oak Flats

LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Glenn Mannix, was recently at Reece Irrigation & Pools in Oak Flats, NSW, doing product demonstrations on LATICRETE installation materials. Those who attended had the opportunity to chat with Glenn and gain a better understanding of LATICRETE products and our 15 Year System Warranty.

Products of focus:

• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield is a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.
• HYDRO BAN®  is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane. HYDRO BAN bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates.  
• 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes. Used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides an economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble-free installations of ceramic tile, brick and natural stone.
• 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive is a high performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation.

• LATASIL™ is a high performance, one component, neutral cure, 100% silicone sealant designed for ceramic tile and stone applications. 
• LATASIL 9118 Primer is a one component primer designed to increase adhesion of LATASIL to various substrates.

Pool Project Moving Forward

We are excited to share the progress of this fully tiled pool in Bulimba, QLD, by Cascade Pools and Sam Gardener Tiling. The project is moving forward, it's now time for grouting! The project features approximately 80m2 "Christle Blue" glass mosaic tiles supplied by The Pool Tile Company and installed with a range of LATICRETE materials to qualify for a 15 year Pool System Warranty. 

LATICRETE materials to be used: 

• 254 Platinum is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick.
• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield is a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.
• HYDRO BAN® is a single component, self-curing liquid polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane that bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates.
• 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength.
• 3701 Mortar Admix is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes.
• SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* provides colour uniformity, durability and ease of installation. Designed for use on tile, glass tile and stone applications, both residential and commercial.
