Waterproofed Fish Pond

How great is this project - what a transformation! This fish pond was built years ago with the house and through the years, the fish pond started having some major leaking issues. That Tiling Guy and his team in WA stripped down the old pond and have resurrected it using LATICRETE materials!

The team used 4237 Latex Additive in the render, then LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield and two coats of HYDRO BAN®. 254 adhesive in white, was used to skim coat and adhere the 11m2 of Onyx Opalescent Glass Mosaic, which was then grouted with SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* in "Bright White".

The Owner and That Tiling Guy are confident that the leaking days of this new pond is over. Well done, it looks fantastic!

North Coogee Pool Complete

We have been following and blogging on the progress on the North Coogee pool project and we are excited to confirm it is now complete. 

Liam from Perfect Joint Tiling in WA wrapped up this project. Glass mosaics were used for the tiling and limestone was used for the pool coping. We think it looks wonderful. 

Liam used the below LATICRETE installation materials, which were purchased from Tilers Express WA:

• 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed - A polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates.
• 4237 Latex Additive - A specially designed latex additive for installing all types of tile, stone and agglomerates. Also for use with Portland cement to make slurry bond coats for mortar beds and with thin set adhesives to give improved performance and longer open time.
• HYDRO BAN® -  A single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane.
• 345 Platinum - The ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick.
• LATAPOXY® 310 Stone Adhesive - A two component, high strength epoxy adhesive. Engineered, formulated and optimised for the spot bonding fixing method of installing tile and stone on vertical surfaces.

North Coogee Pool Nearing Completion

In December 2016 we blogged on this residential pool project in North Coogee by Liam Patterson from Perfect Joint Tiling in Western Australia. The pool is almost wrapped up and we think it looks incredible! The project includes a water feature and consists of glass mosaics for the tiling and limestone for the pool coping.

"Laying this timber look porcelain tile, directly to concrete slab with great ease, using only the best 335 off white, zero slumping and great workability" - Liam Patterson, Perfect Joint Tiling. 

Liam from Perfect Joint Tiling was kind enough to share with us his project currently underway in Western Australia. The timber look tiles have been laid using 335 Premium Flexible Adhesive which was purchased from Tilers Express Western Australia.

Commercial Pool in WA

What a Project

Steve Rennie from Exquisite Tiling & Stone shared with us their completed 20m x 10.5m commercial pool project with Aquatic Developments Australia. The pool is located at State Swim Swimming School in Butler WA and is approximately 290 m2, completed within a 3 week time frame, from inception to completion. The team at Exquisite Tiling used a range of LATICRETE materials purchased from Tilers Express WA: 

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar -  a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 226 Thick Bed Mortar was designed for use with 3701 Mortar Admix to produce a latex Portland cement mortar that has exceptional strength. 
• 3701 Mortar Admix - a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes.
• 345 Platinum - the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive. For interior and exterior installation of ceramic and stone tile, reduced thickness porcelain, quarry tile, pavers and thin brick. 345 Platinum provides long open time with unsurpassed adhesion and workability.
