SPARTACOTE FLEX PURE CLINICAL PLUS coating system offers silver ion antimicrobial technology to mitigate harmful bacteria and odours such as pet urine. It acts as an added layer of protection within the SPARTACOTE concrete coating system for prepared surfaces. These systems offer animal facility owners customisable colours and textures, and fast return to service. SPARTACOTE PURE Clinical Plus is tested, vetted and proven in environments where cleanliness is a top priority, such as hospitals, clinics, animal shelters, veterinary facilities, pharmaceutical production areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, and food production.

Coatings applicator, Collins Concrete Coatings, in Ashburn, USA, recently applied SPARTACOTE CLINICAL PLUS coating in a dog kennel in Leesburg. This coating system included a base medium gray coat. It was then top coated with CLINICAL PLUS Clear, giving the floor excellent abrasion resistance, easy to clean properties, and silver ion antimicrobial technology. The Solution: LATICRETE® SPARTACOTE®

Home to The University of Texas Men's and Women's basketball team, the Frank Erwin Centre also hosts numerous professional entertainers including musicians, the circus, professional wrestling and monster truck exhibitions. 

The 604m2 cavernous ramp tunnel walkway sits within the Erwin Centre, spans from the large dock area to the main floor, and is the only gateway to the main floor space within the hall. The volume of traffic that the pathway takes on is extreme and furthermore, the area has forklift trucks running up and down the ramp, putting the floor through regular abrasion and impact. 

In 2015, Austin-based company, Intertech Flooring, were asked to install a resinous coating that could be used on the ramp area - unfortunately the coating did not perform as required. 

In 2016 Intertech Flooring then discovered LATICRETE SPARTACOTE. They selected a black SPARTACOTE Guard™ solid colour concrete coating system with SPARTACOTE Diamond Topp™ Traction Additive for the concrete floor. Initially a mock-up was applied on the tunnel which was left for a couple of weeks to endure the usual heavy traffic loads, spills and abrasives. Nine West Gets New Flooring

LATICRETE SPARTACOTE® was recently selected as the preferred flooring solution for a Nine West shoe store located in New York City's Rockefeller Centre - one of the most heavily trafficked retail centres in North America.

The owners of Nine West, a global retail chain that sells a selection of shoes and accessories, were having issues with the existing flooring system which was experiencing severe fading, cracking and excessive wear. With the retail store being so active, the project had multiple challenges which included:

• 24 hour start to finish project time frame required a fast-drying floor coating
• Significant abrasion resistance and compressive strength
• Minimal Maintenance

The design and architectural teams were looking for a flooring system that could meet all of the above requirements while providing an aesthetically pleasing finish - the solution: LATICRETE SPARTACOTE Blended Quartz flooring system.
