Commercial Project in Manly

The teams from Style and Tile Co. and Barefoot Living recently undertook a commercial kitchen renovation in Manly, NSW. Our new product PRIME-N-BOND™ was trialed over existing substrates that were cleaned with STONETECH® KlenzAll™ Cleaner.  

Additional LATICRETE Installation materials used on the project were:

• PRIME-N-BOND™ is a versatile, ready-to-use, single coat, low VOC primer designed to enhance the adhesion of adhesives to many smooth and non-absorptive substrates that can be difficult to bond to.
• 335 - a premium, flexible, high-performance thin-bed adhesive for installing a wide range of tiles and stone including low absorption ceramic tile, porcelain tile, natural and manufactured stone using thin-set method of installation.
• SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* - High-performance epoxy grout that offers colour uniformity, durability, and stain resistance with extraordinary ease of use.

Manly Pool Refurbishment

Joe Tabone, LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, was recently on the job site proving technical support and submitted these photos and details of this 50m2 pool and spa refurbishment project currently underway in Manly, NSW. 

The project features Trend mosaic tiles installed by Dean and the team from Bradstreet Building Services, using a wide range of LATICRETE products that qualify for a 25 Year Swimming Pool System Warranty. LATICRETE materials were supplied by ColorTile Brookvale. 

Products used:

• 3701 Mortar Admix is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes.

• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield is a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates.

• HYDRO BAN® is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component, self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane. HYDRO BAN bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates.

• HYDRO BAN  Fillet & Sealant is a one component, fast curing, hybrid elastomeric adhesive and sealant. Particularly for use under HYDRO BAN Waterproof Membrane as a transition fillet and crack filler.

• SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* provides colour uniformity, durability and ease of installation. Designed for use on tile, glass tile and stone applications, both residential and commercial.
• LATASIL™ is a high performance, one component, neutral cure, 100% silicone sealant designed for ceramic tile and stone applications. 
• LATASIL 9118 Primer is a one component primer designed to increase adhesion of LATASIL to various substrates

The projects continue at The Sebel Hotel in Manly. You may recall, we recently blogged about the balconies which Adam Barr from Adam's Tiling Services and his team had done. Troy from TMBC is now doing the grouting around the pool.

Tiling of Balcony

What a project! 

Joe Tabone, LATICRETE NSW Technical Sales Rep was at the job site offering technical support and advice while LATICRETE products were used to tile the balcony at The Sebel Hotel in Manly. The project was carried out by Adam's Tiling Services, TrueLine Tiling and grouting by T.M Constructions and it looks absolutely amazing.  

Stacked stone tiles were used for the walls and vitrified tiles, for the floor.
