Bus Turnaround Project Still Looks Amazing!

 

LATICRETE Technical Sales Rep, Craig Hunter, recently re-visited the Bus Turnaround Project in Lennox Head, NSW, which was completed more than a year ago, and it still looks great!

LATICRETE products in the "Extra Heavy Duty" Streetscape Installations brochure are recommended for the installation of ceramic tile, concrete paver and natural stone where an “Extra Heavy Duty” installation that is required normally associated with transit ways, roads, footpaths, and streetscapes.

These systems are particularly suited to roads and areas required to handle heavy vehicular traffic. Progress on Bus Turnaround

Recently we shared this project in Lennox Heads, NSW, which has been progressing nicely! Ballina Council are working on this 400m2 bus turnaround, which features 90x90x60mm granite cobblestones, supplied by CINAJUS. A range of LATICRETE materials have been used including: 

• 3701 Mortar Admix is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set adhesives, cement grouts, cement mortar beds and other cement mixes. Used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble-free installations of ceramic tile, brick and natural
• 226 Thick Bed Mortar - a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, portland cement and graded aggregates for use with 3701 Mortar Admix
• 4237 Latex Additive a specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Crete Filler Powder to make a high strength latex thin and medium bed adhesive up to 15 mm, for installing all types of tile, stone and agglomerates.
• 211 Crete Filler Powder is a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates.
• 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed is a polymer fortified blend of carefully selected polymers, Portland cement and graded aggregates. 3701 Fortified Mortar Bed does not require the use of latex admix, you only need to add water to produce thick bed mortar with exceptional strength.

Bus Turnaround Project

Ballina Council in NSW have been busy working on this 400m2 streetscape project which features a bus turnaround in Lennox Heads. 90x90x60mm granite cobblestones, supplied by CINAJUS, are being laid using a wet bed method with a range of LATICRETE materials.
