LATICRETE® believes strongly in being good corporate citizens and contributing to community groups, families and charities.
In continuing living the
LATICRETE Values, the ladies from LATICRETE Australia and invited guests,
were fortunate enough to be one of the sponsors and attend a High Tea
Fundraiser with a registered not-for-profit charity, A Brave Life in
QLD on Saturday.
A Brave Life provides newborn essentials to vulnerable and disadvantaged young mothers, under the age of 25, who are having their first baby. These young expectant mothers face a broad range of challenges such as poverty, domestic violence, trauma, relationship/family breakdowns, unplanned pregnancy, and homelessness.
In 2020, A Brave Life set a goal to raise enough funds to create a permanent safe space for teenage and
young mothers in our community, and to provide continued support through their
Baby Bundle and Mentoring Program.
The high tea event
celebrated Queensland Women's Week, International Women's Day and to inspire the notion that "Nothing is Impossible". Along with delicious food,
raffles, and live music, the event MC was Kendall Gilding from
Channel 7; Guest Speakers, were Layne Beachley, 7 x World Champion
Surfer, and Mel Redsell from A Brave Life.
LATICRETE Australia is
thankful to A Brave Life for allowing us the opportunity to be involved in such
a wonderful and inspiring day!
