St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Water Feature

Late last year we blogged about a project that was underway in ElPaso TX, by Mosaic Artist Julie Richey. The project incorporated a range of LATICRETE materials and is now almost complete - it looks absolutely stunning! Julie gave a little insight to the making of this mosaic mural:

"Our "secret weapon," Richard Garcia, came up with a clever idea to fabricate a 3-D printed drain in white, matching the mosaic andamento pattern. The grids between the "tesserae" are where the water will flow out. In these pics, the paper pattern is placed over the spot where the metal drain would show."
