Tumut Community Labyrinth for Peace

Tumut in NSW recently had an octagonal stone labyrinth installed as a joint community project between the Rotary Club of Tumut and the Blakeney Millar Foundation. Dan & Dan Landscaping and Mark Paine Landscapes, were a part of the project which received donated materials for the installation, including LATICRETE products.

LATICRETE products used include
  • 211 Crete Filler Powder -  A factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, Portland cement and graded aggregates. Designed for use with 4237 Latex Additive to produce a high strength adhesive for ceramic tile and stone that meets and exceeds the requirements of national and international standards.
  • 4237 Latex Additive - A specially designed latex additive for use with 211 Crete Filler Powder to make a high strength latex thin bed and medium bed adhesive up to 15 mm. For installing all types of tile, stone and agglomerates. Also for use with Portland cement to make slurry bond coats for mortar beds and with thin set adhesives to give improved performance and longer open time.

The Tumut Community Labyrinth for Peace, approximately 1200m2, is to commemorate those who have served, and is a place for reflection, celebration and learning. To recognise the men and women of the Tumut district who served in times of war, the labyrinth features symbols from the conflicts throughout the stonework.

The official opening for the Labyrinth is on this Saturday August 12th, 2017, where members of the community are welcomed to celebrate and remember.
