Community Mosaic Mural

Recently Sandy and Dave Robertson from Oz Mosaics travelled to Talwood State School in QLD where they created a community mosaic mural, which will be unveiled in September, to celebrate the centenary of the school. 

"Dave, my assistant Maureen and I, worked so hard on this mural with the school children (up to Grade 6), family, teachers, friends and community. The young children coped with using the products with ease and wonderful talent. It was a very happy time.

Special memories are cemented in these mosaic artworks - many past students and families visited the school whilst we were in residence, to apply a few pieces, some with their grandchildren…and tell of their times at Talwood State School and Talwood." - Sandy Robertson.

A range of LATICRETE materials were used throughout the project including: 

• HYDRO BAN® is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners.

• PERMACOLOR® Grout offers the maximum performance available in a cement-based grout, providing consistent colour and antimicrobial protection to resist stain-causing mould and mildew.
