Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, was the location for Boyer's Food Market to build their 18th store. With only five weeks to complete the project a solution was in need and FGS Permashine from L&M™ Construction Chemicals, division of LATICRETE, was chosen.
"Boyer’s Food Markets, with 17 locations
in northeastern Pennsylvania, recently
completed construction on its 18th store
in the community of Birdsboro. The building boasts approximately 32,000
square feet (2,972 square meters) of
space, and the design called for all floors to
be polished concrete. The general contractor
had to find a polished concrete contractor
with the experience and skill to complete
the project before the rapidly approaching
grand opening.
Boyer’s Food Market opened on time
to a rush of happy customers and very
satisfied owners. The floors are a highlight
of the facility and will require very little
maintenance while providing decades of service. In the end, community members
are the real winners, having gone for more
than five years without a local grocery store.
