Tennyson Residential Spa System

 

Check out the progress being made on this residential spa project in Tennyson, QLD. LATICRETE QLD Technical Sales Rep Corey Downes was on site with Rodolfo and the team from Diamond Cut Tiling as they installed a full LATICRETE system, qualifying for a 10 year warranty!

In this installation, the Diamond Cut Tiling team used 226 Thick Bed Mortar with 3701 Mortar Admix for the render/mortar bed, and 254 for the slurry bond and tile adhesive. They applied LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield for moisture vapour emission reduction, and HYDRO BAN® for the waterproofing membrane, and grouted the tiles using PERMACOLOR®.

• 226 Thick Bed Mortar is a factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, portland cement and graded aggregates for use with 3701 Mortar Admix. Provides high performance, superior workability, tight quality control, and job site convenience
• 3701 Mortar Admix is a specially designed latex admixture for use with thin-set mortars, cement grouts, cement mortar beds, and other cement mixes. Used in place of water, 3701 Mortar Admix improves the working and physical properties of any cement mix and provides an economical and easy way to make permanent, trouble-free installations of ceramic tile, brick and natural stone.
• 254 is the ultimate one-step, polymer fortified, thin-set adhesive for interior and exterior installation of ceramic tile, reduced thickness porcelain, stone, quarry tile, pavers and brick. 254 adhesive, designed to just mix with water, has a long open time with unsurpassed adhesion and workability.
• LATAPOXY® Moisture Shield is a 2 component, roller applied epoxy coating specifically designed to reduce moisture vapour emissions in concrete and other substrates
• HYDRO BAN® is a thin, load bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that DOES NOT require the use of fabric in the field, coves or corners. HYDRO BAN is a single component self curing liquid rubber polymer that forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane that bonds directly to a wide variety of substrates. 
• PERMACOLOR® Grout is a high performance grout that provides a grout joint that is dense, hard and will resist cracking. Provides consistent colour, and antimicrobial protection to resist stain-causing mould and mildew.
